What We Do

  • Calgary is a city of many microclimates, each with its own challenges and opportunities. When designing your garden, we take both your lifestyle and location into consideration to create a landscape that will thrive in place. We prioritize sustainable materials and native plants as we create our designs. Design consultations include a $150 fee.

  • Diamond Day Gardens uses sustainable horticultural practices to care for your garden. Maintenance plans are developed by an experienced horticulturalist to target the unique needs of your space. You’ll never catch us with a gas-powered leaf blower! Get in touch to book a free consultation.

  • We work with natural materials from local growers (whenever possible) to create arrangements for every season. We think of planters as miniature gardens with the same potential to benefit pollinators, which is why we choose living material over artificial blooms and plastic baubles.

Meet Your Gardener

Anne Garth is a Certified Horticultural Technician and Garden Designer based in Calgary, Alberta. She completed her horticulture apprenticeship at Humber College in 2020 and went on to study Landscape Design at the University of Guelph. After seven years designing and maintaining gardens in Toronto, Anne returned to her hometown, Calgary, where she has continued to grow and nurture Diamond Day Gardens. 

Anne believes that gardens play a vital role in urban life and can deepen our relationship with both land and place. She draws inspiration from the prairie landscape, creating climate-resilient gardens that utilize the beauty of native plant species whenever possible. Some of her heroes include Monty Donn, Piet Oudolf, and Beth Chatto.
